Raportti soft play'sta - Report from soft play
Suomi-koulu tapasi tänään Ruff and Tumble soft play -leikkipaikassa. Paikalla oli monta perhettä ja lapsilla riitti intoa leikkiä. Oli erityisen mukavaa tavata myös pari mukaan tullutta uutta perhettä.
Harmiksemme kaikki tulossa olleet perheet eivät päässeet mukaan koska soft play -paikka oli lopulta niin täynnä että he joutuivat käännyttämaan asiakkaita pois ovelta. Tulevaisuudessa vastaavissa paikoissa vieraillessamme meidän kannattanee selvittää voisiko ryhmällemme varata tilaa etukäteen.

The Finnish School met today at Ruff and Tumble soft play. A bunch of families came along and the children enjoyed running around. It was particularly nice to meet two new families who joined us.
Unfortunately some of the families who wanted to come along were unable to join us, as the play centre filled up to the extent that they had to turn new customers back. It seems that when we visit similar establishments in the future, we should check whether it's possible for them to set aside space for our group in advance.

Ruff and Tumble soft play 18.1.2014
Hyvää uutta vuotta! Vuoden 2014 ensimmäinen tapaaminen on lauantaina 18.1.2014 Ruff and Tumble soft play –leikkipaikassa (ihan Pollokshaws Methodist Churchin lähellä). Tapaamme klo 14; paikassa ei ole ryhmaälennusta joten voimme kaikki mennä sisään sitä mukaa kun saavumme. Kahden tunnin leikkijakso maksaa £3.95/lapsi. Sylivauvat pääsevat sisään ilmaiseksi. Leikkipaikassa on erillinen alue vauvoille ja taaperoille, sekä kahvio. Kaikki tervetulleita – nähdään pian!

Hyvää joulua ja uutta vuotta - Merry Christmas and a happy New Year
Hyvää joulua ja uutta vuotta kaikille Glasgow’n Suomi-koulun kävijöille ja koulun muille ystäville! Syyslukukaudella 2013 tapasimme kuuden koulukerran, ratsastusretken sekä joulujuhlan merkeissä. Tervetuloa mukaan kevätlukukaudella 2014, jolloin ohjelmassa on lisää koulutapaamisia seka retkiä (katso Kevään 2014 tapaamiset).
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all who took part in Glasgow Finnish School events this year and to all other friends of the school too! During the 2013 autumn term we met for six school days, a horse riding trip and the Christmas party. Please join us again for the 2014 spring term for more school days and trips (see Spring 2014 meetings).

Christmas Party / Joulujuhla 7.12.2013
Kiitos kaikille tämänpäiväiseen joulujuhlaan osallistuneille ja erityisesti juhlan järjestäneille vapaaehtoisille! Joimme glögia ja söimme pipareita, lapset askertelivat ja leikkivät Tonttujen jouluyö -leikin, lauloimme viulunsoiton säestämänä kauneimpia joululauluja - ja sitten joulupukki saapui yllätysvierailulle. Hauskaa joulua ja nähdään tammikuussa (ks. kevaan 2014 tapahtumat)!
Thank you all who attended the Christmas party today, and special thanks to those who helped organise the party. We had mulled wine and gingerbread, the children had an arts and crafts session and played along to the "Elves' Christmas night" song, we sang Christmas carols accompanied by a violinist - and then Santa paid us a surprise visit. Have a merry Christmas and see you in January (see Spring 2014 events)!
